crap
Thank you for proving me right, Rupert Murdoch.
The bottom story's also a real winner. Only in Albuquerque: A black heart surgeon from New York came out to perform surgery for underprivledged Navajos, decided to give the ABQ a whirl, went to a bar downtown, couldn't get served, tapped (or grabbed, accounts differ) a bartender on the arm, got thrown out of the bar, argued with the manager outside, APD showed up and things escalated to such a pointed the heart surgeon from New York ended up at University Hospital with a separated shoulder and now there's a question as to his ability to operate ever again. He alleges the cops threw around some racial slurs while he was being arrested and GOD, people!
The enlightened types around here are all red in the face. Really, we're above this kind of crap. Honest.

It certainly wipes out any sort of goodwill I had towards the city in terms of "Oh, look at us, we're all happily color-blind."
It's not true. As long as I've been aware, I've heard rumblings that some Hispanics have tension with African-Americans and vice versa, and, sorry to say, I've seen it in action as recently as this summer.
I don't understand it, not here, no in this place. We're all minorities, so WTF?
Which kind of goes back to the "GOD, people!" comment.
Because? God, people!
Really, I don't see what all the Jude Law fuss is about. I mean, okay, she's not going to be launching a thousand ships any time soon, but she's not, like, Quasimodo either.
I mean really, what's a guy going to do? She's all fluttery because he's? A hot movie star. He's a guy and guys will take just about any nookie they can get, especially if their girlfriends are out partying and leaving them by themselves.
Of course this was going to happen. I think the media picking on her for her looks is just mean.
Love your site, btw.
